The world is not always safe and affirming, especially for transgender and other gender non-conforming people. Therapy invites growth and healing. If you're trans, queer, or BIPOC you are in the right place!
I help people:
Explore new ways of being in the world
Improve communication with people around them
Increase the chances of their needs being met
Recognize choices when facing hard things.
Positive changes in gender affirming healthcare have saved many lives. But there are also devastating and frightening changes in our political landscape that increasingly threaten trans lives. It would be weird if you weren’t feeling a bit uncomfortable.
I can be part of your fanclub as you make your way on your very own personal (radical) journey
experience greater capacity for joy fewer hard days. More connected relationships. Take a look at what’s no longer serving you. I will meet you at the intersection of all the different ways you show up in the world.
N. Lette Stockwell
I have been providing psychotherapy and parent coaching since 1998. A broad range of clinical experience informs my work. I’ve worked in a range of settings, including outpatient chemical dependency, public schools, a family support center, and most recently at Kaiser Permanente in the department of outpatient psychiatry.
People describe my style as warm and direct, with frequent sprinklings of humor. I’ll encourage you to give me feedback as to how therapy is progressing for you so that I may continue to meet your needs. We’ll work together to determine the best path for therapy to take, including collaborating on goals, deciding how frequently to meet, and when to stop meeting (no one has to be in therapy forever!).
